Federica Soletta

Architecture

Federica Soletta received her Masters in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano and went on to work as an architect and photographer in Milan, New York, and Paris before entering the program in Critical and Curatorial Practice in Architecture at Columbia University, from which she received a Masters in 2009.

She is now a fourth-year PhD candidate in the History and Theory of Architecture and a fellow in the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in the Humanities. Her research focuses on the writing of architectural history in mid-nineteenth century England, and especially on the impact that early photography and natural science had on its development.
