The Humanities Council’s Program in European Cultural Studies (ECS) celebrates graduating seniors. Ten students in the Class of 2025 earned certificates in European Cultural Studies and one student earned the new minor in European Studies. English major Nelson Rogers ’25 was awarded the Asher Hinds Prize for Excellence in the Program in European Cultural Studies for his senior thesis, titled “Steinbeck’s Vagabonds in Wartime and Post-Colonial Francophone Literature.” The thesis was advised by Lee C. Mitchell (English). The prize is awarded annually in recognition of the best senior thesis completed by an ECS certificate student.
