COLLEEN KINDER  is a travel essayist whose work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The New Republic, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic.com, National Geographic Traveler, Salon.com, Creative Nonfiction, The New York Times Travel Section and The Best American Travel Writing 2013. Colleen received her MFA at the University of Iowa and currently teaches travel writing for Yale Summer Session in France. She is the co-founder of Off Assignment, a reading series and magazine devoted to behind-the-scenes journalism, which launched in 2016.
