Peter Giraudo is a graduate student in the Politics department. He has interests in 19th and 20th century European political thought and democratic theory. His dissertation explores the ideas of entrepreneurial agency and co-determination in twentieth century German thought. The dissertation focuses on Schumpeter, Hayek, the Ordoliberals, and Catholic social thinkers. In democratic theory, Peter works on the theory of political parties with special attention to their internal organization. Beyond political theory, Peter has interests in 17th and 18th century European philosophy as well as in 19th and 20th century European social and cultural history.
